Reconnect.

Communicate.

Move Forward Together.

Relationships can become strained even when love and commitment are still present. Couples therapy offers a supportive space to slow down, understand what's happening between you, and begin creating healthier ways of communicating and connecting.

When You Keep Having the Same Conversation

How Did We Get Here?

Many couples don't come to therapy because they've stopped caring about one another.

They come because they've become stuck.

Maybe the same disagreement keeps happening without resolution. One person pursues conversation while the other withdraws. Small disagreements quickly become bigger conflicts. Resentment has accumulated. Or perhaps you've simply stopped feeling as close as you once did.

Sometimes there isn't one major problem at all.

You may simply look at each other one day and realize:

“We don't feel like us anymore.”

Couples therapy can help you understand not only what you're arguing about, but the patterns underneath those interactions.

What Couples Can Expect

A Balanced, Structured, and Compassionate Approach

Couples therapy is not about deciding who is right or assigning one person the blame. My role is to support the relationship while helping each partner feel heard, respected, and accountable for the patterns they bring into the relationship.

Sessions provide structure for discussing difficult subjects without allowing the conversation to become another version of the same unresolved argument. We will slow interactions down, identify what happens beneath conflict, and explore the emotions, needs, fears, and protective responses influencing how you relate to one another.

My Approach to Couples Therapy

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, relational, and skills-focused. Depending on your relationship and goals, our work may include:

Identifying recurring cycles of conflict, pursuit, withdrawal, or disconnection

Learning to communicate needs more clearly and listen with greater understanding

Recognizing how personal history and past relationship experiences influence present reactions

Developing emotional-regulation skills for difficult conversations

Practicing healthier boundaries and respectful conflict

Repairing relationship wounds and rebuilding trust

Strengthening emotional connection, friendship, and intimacy

Clarifying shared values, expectations, and goals for the relationship

Couples therapy includes both exploration and practical skill-building. Understanding how a pattern developed can create compassion, while learning new ways to respond can help the relationship move forward.

I Don’t Take Sides—But I Will Help You Notice the Pattern

I work to create a balanced space where both partners can speak openly. Being neutral does not mean ignoring harmful communication or avoiding difficult conversations. I may gently interrupt unproductive patterns, ask each partner to consider their impact, and help both of you practice a different way of engaging.

The goal is not to determine who wins an argument. The goal is to help you understand what keeps happening between you and create healthier ways of responding together.

Your First Couples Therapy Session

During the first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy, the strengths already present in your relationship, the concerns each partner would like to address, and what you hope will be different.

You do not need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal or agree about every problem. We will begin by developing a clearer understanding of the relationship and identifying priorities for our work together.

A Space for Honest Conversation and Meaningful Change

Couples therapy requires openness, effort, and a willingness to examine both the relationship and your individual contributions to it. Change may take time, but even small shifts in how you listen, communicate, and respond can begin changing the relationship’s larger pattern.

Online couples therapy is available to adults located throughout Texas. Sessions are 75 minutes and cost $150.
